Ireland - it’s a noice soize - day 7
It’s so important to not overbook vacations, and leave room for magic.
And that is what happened this morning. Lylah🤍 had spotted a maze at Bourton on the water. So having a few hours to kill this morning, we went back to humor her. But we all ended up having so much fun.
Let’s say it got off to a good start when we began with scones and clotted cream and strawberry jam at a nearby cafe.
The maze was actually really well constructed, and had 14 clues that you had to gather, and then at the end, put them together to solve the puzzle.
Sign for the day that had me laughing.
Next we drove down to Bristol, 90 minutes away, returned our car at the airport and prepared to fly to Ireland in a prop plane. The drive down was extra special. Chelsea made a Time-lapse video which I will try to post somewhere.
At Cork airport in Ireland Chelsea rented another car. We knoticed that a lot of the cars are very small over here and so she was prepared to upgrade if they were giving us something tiny. The girl at the counter assured her (in a thick Irish accent), “oh, it’s a noice soize.” 😂
So … Kinsale (where we are staying for 3 days) … no words for how adorable this town is.
We are staying right in the middle of town at another great apartment. Picture above.
As I’m sitting in the living room finishing my blog, Jai is melting down because he can’t get the WiFi or his eSIM to work on his phone. Chelsea just got out of the shower with wet hair and sat down with me to read her book… Lylah calls from the bathroom, “Mom, I’m sorry, I gave you lotion instead of conditioner.”
Chelsea rolls her eyes and feels her hair: “I wondered why it smelled so potent.”
Family vacations … I love this so much.
